About Kwerix: who builds the Google Trends API, the method, contact, privacy and terms

What is Kwerix?

Kwerix is an independent project that builds search demand data APIs and publishes them as Actors on Apify, paid per result. The first one is the Google Trends API (kwerix/google-trends-api), which extracts Google Trends data for any keyword list and for Trending Now. Kwerix is on Apify at apify.com/kwerix and on GitHub at github.com/Kwerix, where the code examples live under the MIT license.

Kwerix is not affiliated with Google. Google Trends is a trademark of Google LLC, and this site names it only to describe the data the API reads.

How are the Kwerix guides written?

The Kwerix guides are written with a fixed method in 4 steps.

1. Sources first. Each fact about Google Trends comes from Google Trends Help, the Google Search Central documentation, the Actor’s code and output, or a measurement with its date.
2. Citation in the sentence. Each fact names its source in the sentence that carries it, and the list of sources repeats at the end of the page.
3. Dated numbers. Prices, rankings and measurements carry the date they were read, because providers and Google Trends change.
4. Review. Each page is checked before publication and updated when a source changes.

How can you use the Kwerix images?

The Kwerix images are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): you can copy, adapt and use them commercially when you credit Kwerix with a link to the page where the image appears. The charts use Google Trends data measured on the date printed on each chart.

How do you contact Kwerix?

You contact Kwerix through the Issues tab of the Google Trends API on the Apify Store, for bugs and feature requests, or through the Kwerix organization on GitHub, for the code examples. Both channels are read by the people who build the Actor.

Which privacy policy does kwerix.com follow?

kwerix.com follows a minimal-data privacy policy: the site has no accounts, no forms that store data and no advertising.

Which personal data does the site process?

The site processes minimal technical data. The web server logs each request, including the IP address, the date and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working, and Matomo measures visits in aggregate without cookies and anonymizes the IP address.

What happens with an Apify token in the comparison tool?

The Apify token in the comparison tool stays in your browser and goes only to api.apify.com with the comparison request; kwerix.com never receives or stores it. Runs are billed by Apify to your own Apify account under Apify’s terms.
